Pet Blessing & Pet Food Drive

Good Shepherd Church will hold our annual blessing of the animals on Saturday, October 9 at 10:30 AM in the parking lot of the church. In case of inclement weather, we will move the event inside the fellowship hall.

This year, we are asking that participants consider bringing unopened pet food (especially canned dog and cat food) to the pet blessing so that we can get pet food into the hands of pet owners in some of the areas hardest hit by Hurricane Ida. In the River Parishes right now, many stores are still not opened and those that are open are not able to adequately stock certain items, including pet food.
