Nuns Quit Episcopals for ACNA

On Monday, April12, 2021, the American Sisters of the Community of St. Mary, Eastern Province, in consultation with their African Sisters, voted to leave the Episcopal Church (TEC), entering the Diocese of the Living Word in the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA). This move comes on the heels of the trial and resulting departure of the Rt. Rev'd William Love, Bishop of Albany. Bishop Love resigned from the Episcopal Church after being placed on trial by that denomination for his views in support of a traditional, Biblical understanding of marriage.

American Sisters of the Community of St. Mary have voted to join the Anglican Church of North America (ACNA) in departure from the Episcopal Church.
