GSC Women's Guild Christmas Party

On Tuesday, December 11, 2018, the Good Shepherd Church’s, Woman’s Guild held their annual Christmas Party.

Their party started off with our pastor, Rev. Graf offering the Lords blessing before we sat down to eat.

Christmas music played in the background throughout the whole event.

As usual, there was more food than everyone could consume. The Woman’s Guild really out did themselves as usual. The food was absolutely delicious.

After everyone had stuffed themselves with food, several adult games were played to everyone’s amusement. Prizes we given to the winner of each game.
All attendees thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

The Good Shepherd Church’s, Woman’s Guild has been in existence longer than any of their current members can remember. Currently the Woman’s Guild has eleven (11) members on their rolls. They meet at Good Shepherd Church every second Tuesday of each month. Ms. Barbara Mehrtens is their current President.

The Woman’s Guild conducts a bake sale every other month. They also conduct a Stewardship event in which they sell various donated fruit. In addition, once a year they hold a large garage sale. All funds generated from these evens are donated to the Good Shepherd Church’s, General Fund to assist with the budget. This year they also donated money to assist in buying Christmas Presents for the Veterans at the “Southeast Louisiana Veterans Home”.

The Woman’s Guild also holds a Mother’s Day and Christmas Banquet.
