On Monday, July 9, 2018, the Good Shepherd Church’s, Men’s Club had their first meeting. This meeting was held at Perrin’s Restaurant. There were thirteen (13) men of Good Shepherd Church in attendance.

Those men were: Donald Peters, Bill Sheffield, Stan McDonald, John Falanga, Mark VanVranken, Bob Volk, Pete Hensley, Joe Deibel, Mike Engelbracht, Mel Aucoin, Jacob Aucoin,  D. J. Estopinal, and Reverend Randall Graf.

Everyone at this initial meeting agreed on the following points;
  1. That there will be NO formal organization of the men’s club That there would not be any formal leader and the group would NOT follow Robert’s Rules of Order.This way, any of the attending men could bring any topic or idea to the group and freely talk about it. They could proceed with an idea or fund-raising activity at any time. Also, no quorum would be needed to handle the business at hand.
  2. That the Men’s Club would meet the first Monday of every month at 6:00 P. M. Location of the next Men’s Club meeting will be agreed upon at the previously meeting.
  3. The objective of the Men’s Club will be to conduct various fundraising activities in order to raise money for projects that Good Shepherd Church needs to accomplish but does not have the funds, in their general budget, to accomplish.
  4. That the first project the Men’s Club will conduct fundraising activities for will be a new church street sign, for the front of our church.
  5. That this fund raiser will be a raffle to start Sunday, September 31, 2018. That the money raised in this raffle will be used, in its entirety, for the Good Shepherd Church’s, New Street Sign.
    1. This raffle will have four (4) winners and four (4) prizes.
    2. Prizes will be:
      1. A basket of Hard Liquor
      2. A basket of nice Wine (Approximately 15 bottles needed)
      3. A $100.00 gift card to a nice restaurant
      4. A $50.00 gift card to a local business

(Anyone who would like to contribute money to assist in the purchase of the above listed items or purchase and donate above listed items for the coming listed raffle should contact D. J. Estopinal.) Any and all assistance in this matter would be GREATLY appreciated by the Men’s Club!

Additional fund-raising activities discussed and will be researched for the next meeting are: Corporate donations and grants and on line electronic giving.
All men of Good Shepherd Church are encouraged to attend the next meeting of the Men’s Club which will be held at Good Shepherd Church on Monday, August 6, 2018 at 6:00 P.M.

All attendees at this Men’s Club meeting seemed to enjoy themselves and the food at the meeting and all of the men seem encouraged and excited about the above ideas.
