This Sunday, June 5, immediately following the 10:00 AM Holy Eucharist, we will have a brief organizational meeting for those who are volunteering to work our Vacation Bible School. 

Our VBS is scheduled for July 11 through July 15 from 6:30 PM until 8:00 PM. We need adult volunteers to assist in all aspects of this program. If you can help or have any questions, please see Fr. Randall+ or Rinda Coleman.

Join us tonight, May 26, at church at 6:35 PM as we celebrate the Feast of the Ascension of the Lord.

In the Book of Acts, we see the apostles commit to prayer for the nine days between the Ascension of our Lord and the coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. This has been the model in Christianity for the nine day prayer devotion known as a novena (which means "nine" in Latin).

Beginning on Friday, May 27 (the day after the Ascension), volunteers from Good Shepherd Church will be praying a Novena to the Holy Spirit in advance of Pentecost (June 5). For those who sign up, each morning between May 27 and June 4 they will receive an email with the novena prayers to pray. The prayers will take about 9 minutes and to make it even easier, each email will not only include the prayers written out but will include a link to an audio file that the one praying can listen to and pray along with.

Mother’s Day Celebration! All ladies of the church and their families are included in our Celebration on Tuesday, May 10 at 6:00 PM. We have a sign-up sheet in the foyer and request that you include your name and the number of guests you will have seated with you. We need this information by Sunday May 8 to prepare our seating. We ask that you please provide a covered dish to share with the group.

Reminder:  If you have taken a baby bottle to fill with change or would like to make a donation to the Woman's New Life Clinic, our campaign is wrapping up. Please bring you bottles or make a donation now so that we can receive and bless the final gifts on Mother's Day.

This Sunday, May 1, we will meet in the conference room immediately after the 10:00 AM Holy Eucharist to fill goodie bags for UNO students to be distributed during exams.

Please bring items for this project to church this Sunday. We are in need of:

• pencils
• pens
• note cards (3x5)
• gum
• candy
• bags to hold the goodies
• volunteers to fill bags on Sunday
